Amy holds a masters degree in Social Work from Boston University. She was first introduced to health and fitness at a young age by her father who was a boxer and a baseball player. She played competitive tennis in high school and participated in running and swimming in college. Following the birth of her second child, Amy stumbled upon strength training and has never looked back.
Over the years, she has embraced a passion for educating and empowering others through fitness. She earned a CrossFit Level 1 Trainer Certificate in 2018 and is currently pursuing her PT Cert through the National Academy of Sports Medicine. In addition to coaching, Amy is involved in the Boys and Girls Aid Society and Girls on the Run of Portland. She also spends a significant amount of time running around with her two girls and encouraging them to eat more spinach!
